The Merry Marthas

The Merry Marthas are a group of dedicated women (but men are welcome, too) who love to sew.  Their projects include designing and sewing Prayer Lap Quilts to be given to someone who is dealing with an illness or grief.  These quilts, once completed, are then specifically prayed over by the church during a worship service and then personally delivered to whoever is in need.  At Christmas time, the Merry Marthas also sew Christmas stockings which are filled with personal care items and then prayed over and delivered to residents of area nursing homes.  The Merry Marthas have also sewn blankets for victims of human trafficking.
